Kate Grayson

Kate Grayson, a second-generation entrepreneur, launched her first business in 1998 - Pierrepont, Grayson & Breen - providing IT systems, auditing and project management consulting to the hospitality, medical equipment, consumer products and pharmaceutical industries. Recognizing a business opportunity, Kate founded Steelgate in 2000 to meet a market gap in the business of storing biomedical specimens.

Originally from New York, Kate holds a degree in Computer Science from American University.

When she’s not working, Kate enjoys golf, tennis, pickleball and is a passionate, skilled baker of all things sweet and savory, but is perhaps best known for producing upwards of 3,000 cookies each holiday season.
